Bold Predictions

BC winners:

Juvenile: Scat Daddy (although I question his ability around two turns...seriously, I think the BC Juvy winner hasn't raced yet)

Juvenile Fillies: One of the 20+ fillies that Darley has in training at the Spa that hasn't started yet...

F&M Turf: Gorella and stablemate Lady of Venice EX, especially if Shawanda is on the shelf and it is looking that way...I don't like Ouija Board...I also thought Asi Siempre would be a live U.S. sleeper this year but I have been worng there as she has been AWFUL and I've lost a lot of money supporting her ass, but Biancone still gets the EX in this division when his 3yo filly steps up and runs HUGE to complete the EX behind her chalk stablemate...

Mile: One of Europe's top milers just like always (not sure who yet)...

Turf: Again, the Euros are still better than us...Hala Bek is a solid sleeper if he comes and Hurricane Run wins if he comes....

Distaff: Happy Ticket...not a reach here and I would've gone Indian Vale had I thought she possessed more heart than I've seen from her...

Sprint: Henny Hughes in a thriller...any huge surprise here?

Classic: Bernardini wins for fun...

If Biancone decides to keep Gorella at a Mile because the F&M Turf is 1 3/8 this year, do you give her any shot in that race?

I give her a huge shot in the mile. I think this is where she belongs. She doesnt want the 1 3/8. Gorella is going to win the mile. Prob get good odds on her as well.

Unfortunately, probably not...I know she ran well in it last year, but I just think there will always be a Euro that is faster and better..I know Artie won it last year and I actually bet Artie, but most years I'll side with the European contingent...we'll just have to see how strong they (Euros) are before I decide....I will say this, I think Gorella is better than Miesque's Approval...Another real longshot sleeper in this division to me is Bobby Frankel's Diamond Green, who has a lot of backclass and should wake up if Frankel gets him off the fairways on the West coast and onto the more authentic grass courses on the East coast....he might be a live longshot worth following..I've always been a fan of his...

Back to Gorella, I think she can beat most fillies and mares going 1 3/8-miles...just depends on who comes...her race iun the Woodford Reserve on Derby day was VERY good IMO against horses that are all superior to most fillies and mares in the world...she got into SIGNIFICANT traffic trouble and was finishing with a ton of interest going 1 1/8-miles over that course...I was on the rail watching it and I watched her gallop out...I really don't see 1 3/8-miles being a big issue for her over that turf course....we'll see...

Well Artie won the mile last year and Singletary won the mile the year before. Plus Gorella is from Europe just racing in the US the past two years. Gorella wins the mile if she goes.

I know, I know...but I was at the 2004 BC and the Coolmore Danzig colt shouldv'e won but he was Spencerized in the stretch...actually I think the horse was just a rogue.....Also, anybody who knows the Lone Star course knows that it is the exact opposite from European courses....I've walked it before and it is like a putting green.....I wouldn't count that year for a true result....

As for Artie, I bet him last year because he loves BEL and looked to break through off of some tough-luck races, AND most importantly, there was a poor contingent of Euros unlike most years.....If the Euros bring their first string or even good second string they will win the Mile nine eight out of ten years IMO....Something will come over that is more formidable than Gorella IMO....

I'm with you on that Woodford Reserve race, she was really up against it. I just don't know if that amazing kick of hers will be as effective going 1 3/8. I was also high on Diamond Green, but I just read he ran an uninspiring 3rd today at Woodbine.

WHAT!!!...I had that donkey in my stable mail and never got an email that he was in....Let me check the charts.....CRAAAPPPP!!!..Anyone else have this ever happen with there stable mail?...AHHHH!..It happens a lot with mine...of course, I have about 200 horses in it...
