I was interested to see how this horse was going to run. Dwoskin's usually soft on his first outs and his firsters usually don't take quite as much action as this one did, especially two-turning and even more so on the turf. But the field was fairly awful, so that probably accounted for the lowish price.

I agree about the trip.

Most of all, I am thankful the chartcaller cooperated and gave it the old, "Broke slow, saved ground, tired" comment. Yeah, right.

A very good one for the watch list.

He didn't get in. Why were you hoping he wouldn't? I thought it was a pretty soft spot and that he would have benefited from an outside post. Then again, he was coming back a bit quick.

The next MSW turf race for him is 5/26. But the best spot is probably the 6/3 race restricted to 3 YOs.

It was for selfish reasons, nothing to do with the spot. I had no chance to get out and play the horse today, so I'm hoping they wait for a Saturday to run him

Saturday. Calder 6th Race . PP 8. ML 6-1.

It’s a real good spot but I doubt he goes off much more than 3-1.

2, Heavyweight looks very possible . 4, Gone Straight looks ok stepping up off a layoff close at a big number. 12, Cruden Bay is the ML fave but I don’t really like him much. 5, Tomochichi is an interesting horse I will use.

I’ll play Saratoga Matt on top of these and also use 4, Gone Straight and 5, Tomochichi on top with Saratoga Matt underneath.

Anybody see any others in this race?
