Justin Dew was on the show at my invitation. What was in his blog was the quote he received from a private clocker and he wrote it as such. How people interpreted the clocker's quote is not his 'fault'. He's a young guy who has worked hard all winter/spring following the Trail for kentuckyderby.com and has done a nice job. He didn't deserve to be villified for how he presented the information, and I was happy to have him on the show to give him the chance to demonstrate his considerable accumen.
He learned a lesson about the dissemination of information, or potentially misinformation, at an event like this. His experience was similar to mine last year when I gave out erroneous info about Showing Up that had been provided to me by a very reliable source. Given the original source of the quote, I can say that people attacking or ridiculing Dew for his eagerness are on the wrong side of the fence. Give him a chance. His judgement was bad in this case. It will be better next time.

I personally missed the segment, so I didn't hear him demonstrate his considerable acumen. There are more impostors in this sport than in any other from Media, Trainers, Jockeys, and more. Finally, I respect your opinion and if you feel the guy deserves a second chance I'm OK with that.

This wasn't a question of 'accuracy'.. He did not write as his opinion that the horse was 'stiff and sore.'
He quoted a private clocker's comments saying that, and properly attributed the quote as that of the private clocker. He wasn't offering the opinion as his own. That difference seems to be going largely ignored by those that have been very rough on him.

I guess the question most have then is why was the blog pulled from the site subsequently following questioning of his information?

When he was questioned about this by people posting comments on his blog, he got nasty... that was unnecessary. He should have corrected his original comment, apologized and moved on... but nope.
