I actually made a few bucks last year derby weekend because of my win bet on Barbaro... had Ermine to WIN, but didn't bet her WP.

That stinks. The last Derby winner I had was Thundergulch. He went off 25-1 and I still lost money.

Was lucky enough to win a $50 win bet on last year's Derby from a local sports radio show...put it on Barbaro
He was the first Derby winner I picked right since Fu-peg in 2000 and only the third in 20 years...it's a tough race for me.

Congrats on the pick from last year. It is a hard race for me as well. I think I get so caught up in all the Ky Derby facts on what a horses needs to win that I lose sight of my own capping ability.

It's even crazier this year...I can make a case on horses I think can finish 2-3-4, but when it comes to "on top"...that's tougher!

I've done better in the pools for real. I drew Charasmatic when he won, and Giacomo also. Both were $10 pots. Last ticket I cashed was $5 ex box on Silver Charm - Capt. Bodgit.

Funny... the year that Giacomo won, my buddy had a five dollar pool that he paid out the top three finishers...I drew Giacomo
& I picked him last in my Derby selections...won $50 on that pool...didn't cash on any of my other tickets!

I am going to pick my horse and put $5 to win on him then I am going to put $100 to win on the 3 horses that I think have no chance of winning.

The really funny thing was, I was so drunk by then, it took me like 10 minutes to find my ticket. After the race, I was like, hey! I think I got that. FRumble, Fumble, aw, here it is! Yes! Gimmie my money! I knew it! LOL!

Ha! See, clowning me for my quick pix. I'll do my own damn quick pix on about 10 horses. I'm betting 30-40 bucks and by golly I'll hit half the $40 tri baby!
