oh but sometimes dont they make the chart straight from the race call? Last year the KY derby chart was a mess, I went about fixing the BRIS chart which differed markedly from the DRF or whatever the other one is...As I recall the BRIS chart used beaten lengths just as they were called which led to problems with e.g.Jazil. Dunno if BRIS people just play back the tape or what. That chart was seriously out of whack as was the DRF chart perhaps to a lesser degree. One year they had to re draw the derby chart a few years back..I had assumed then that the race caller would look at some sort of notes that the chart caller was making..
