SOMEHOW, CAN'T SEE CANON AS A FAN OF THAT SHOW.I think one of the things that makes it interesting is that IMUS has been so quick to ask that others get fired(for this n' that.) I thought it was pretty unique T.V. to see him lie about whether he thought what he said was funny (at the time he said it.) I think it is interesting to see these women take advantage of a situation that IMUS was dumb enough to create. They see a fat pitch, and they are not gunna get cheated on the swing. Was funny seeing That opportunist Sharpton complain to Imus about him(IMUS) using the term "OLD CRACKER." ![]() IMO....the biggest blunder that Imus made (besides the dumb ass comment that he made) was appearing on Sharpton's radio show. If Imus had any sense at all, he contacts the President of Rutgers, along with Coach Stringer and expresses his desire to meet with them and the girls (and their parents if they so choose) and THEN AND THERE express his apologies if he so desires. He owes Sharpton nothing...zero...zlich...nada. I would have never given Sharpton the time of day....never given him the opportunity to suck every ounce of publicity out of this as possible.
The only people that Imus owes an apology to is those girls on the team and their parents...plain and simple. |
