"Happy Hunting was bred to be a champion." i suppose most thoroughbreds are. the 6 year old has 14 races under his belt. his sire Seeking the Gold is not known for producing sound horses. his dam G1SW Furlough has produced mediocrity other than the lightly raced Happy Hunting.

with all that black type top and bottom you can see how elusive good thoroughbreds are.

He's a Phipps bred horse. Seeking the Gold was a classy horse who has proven himself at stud. The dam Furlough was a Grade 1 winner. She won the Grade 1 Ballerina along with other Graded stakes races. Her dam Blitey was bred by the Phipp's and she won the Test and Ballerina Stakes.

Here's the details of her progeny. It's too early to tell now if any of these horses will make an impact on the racetrack. http://www.pedigreequery.com/progeny/furlough2

My brain says Corithian. But we all know who I want so badly to win this race and you all know that I will be yelling "SHOW'EM HOW IT'S DONE OLD BOY!" when they turn for home.

Sounds like a true fan of Evening Attire, and if so . . . I am in good company.

i love corinthian but happy hunting has a huge shot, i think he at least runs 1-2, maybe a cold exacta corinthian-happy hunting, happy huntings return race was very impressive and it sets him up nicely for this

It was an optical illusion...He passed some very tired pacesetters in that race...I wouldnt exactly say it was very impressive, beating a full field of 5, lol..He's up against some better competition this time out...This is a race to watch, not bet, as Corinthian romps at low odds, IMO..
