of course if you set up a mythical series of racing--say 6 races, then it would come down to invasor and mineshaft--the others would miss some of them, so those two would win points-wise!

Not if one of those races was the BCC. Mineshaft wouldn't be able to make it to that one!

You're right he only raced 9 times in 9 months during 2003. 9 times in 9 months....When everyone and their mother avoided him. Then he gets an injury and misses the Classic....But I get it, we should diminish him for that.

LOL. I knew you would like that one randall.
He was an outstanding horse and he would probably be my second choice in this race after Ghostzapper, although I would have trouble separating him from Invasor, St. Liam etc.
As for him missing the BCC, if they say he was injured, I have no reason to doubt them.

Of course I think PP will right be there. I think Zapper would get caught up on the front end with some of these really great horses, and it sets up for PP or maybe Mindshaft to get them at the wire. But then agian I am prejudiced.

I agree. As I said in an earlier post, I would use him in exactas and trifectas under GZ. For a BCC/DWC winner P. Perfect never really seems to get the credit I think he deserves. I think he would be right there with Mineshaft, St. Liam, and Invasor.

ghostzapper by a nose over
invasor by 1 length over
tiznow by 1/2 length over
mineshaft 2 back to
pleasantly perfect 3 back to
saint liam by 1 over
madaglia doro by 2 over
roses in may by 2 over
aptitude

I'd say that's a pretty damned good field. Pretty scary that a horse as good as Aptitude would be the 9th choice of 9, and a dynamic Dubai WC winner in Roses in May would be the 7th choice, at best.

At 9F, MDO & RIM move up a bit and PP moves down a bit.

I think that if the jocks gave the right rides to the front runners, Zapper could be beat.<maybe just my dream> And your right P doesnt get the credit he deserves. And that is ashame, but I am hoping his babies really kick butt.
