Tell Morty that if he purchased MSFT at it's debut in 1986, one share today would probably be worth around 7 or 8k. God only knows how much it would be worth if it hadn't split so many times.

One of our clients had about 300 shares of HD that she bought when it first came out and she's a happy camper right now. It wouldn't surprise me if Morty had some original MSFT. Needless to say, both you and Morty are probably better off in the financial department than I am... wish I had the extra $$ to invest more. This 401k deal isn't cutting it.
