I know. He was running for a tag..... he apparently looked really good and then he fell.

It sounds awful and selfish to say I'm glad i didn't see it but i am.

Poor boy though.

One of those names I just recognized and so went to check to see if he had won.

Maybe he's somewhere where he can win every time and the peppermints are plentiful and the crowd cheers as he crosses the line.

I always say i won't forget them and the thing is..... i never do.

At least i know he has plenty of good company.

Fly with the angels.

Bowman's Crossing.....

Hong Kong regular, beautiful horse..... sadly euthanized after a horrific accident yesterday morning following a barrier trial..

I'll miss him coming in 3rd, which was what he loved to do.

Run in peace, good boy.

Farewell to a diva..... shocking news from Sporting Life...

INJURY CLAIMS CELESTIAL WAVE
By Keith Hamer, PA Sport

Adrian Maguire's smart staying hurdler Celestial Wave has had to be put down shortly after retiring to the paddocks.

The seven-year-old mare, winner of seven of her 10 starts and placed in the other three, was due to be covered next weekend but a veterinary examination revealed her plight.

"She was examined on Tuesday morning by the vet and he found there was a rupture inside her and nothing could be done so she had to be put down," said Maguire.

The County Cork-based handler paid tribute to the mare who had given him a flying start to his fledgling training career.

"She was a superstar. We all thought she was going to enjoy the rest of her days at stud. It's very unfortunate what has happened," he added.

Celestial Wave had been fancied for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham after completing a hat-trick in Graded company but was found to be cast in her box the week before the Festival.

I never thought I'd be adding this name.....

Hendrix.

One of my favorites.

The very first time i went to the races was the 2004 Hollywood Derby. He was there..... I've followed him ever since.

He deserves something lovely to be written and I'm sorry i can't do him justice.

Anguish is a word I've never used, but today..... today...

Anyone who knows me knows how much I loved this boy. Just a fan, but i love him all the same.

The pain of this day feels like it will last forever. He was my birght star. Seeing his name entered, seeing him running his heart out.....I will never, ever forget him or the joy he brought to me - win or lose.

Words fail me, the sinking in my heart is constant, tears are replaced in endless succession and I am stunned and heartsick.

I will miss him always.

Run in peace, Hendrix.
