PG,
Just my guess...but I suspect that posting your selections and the type of your wagers without getting into the amount of your wagers would go over a little better....just my humble opinion

PTG1985

Why don't you preview your post first, read them as if you where the reciever, then ask yourself the question above.

You could be more of a winner, if you looked at what you bet. Your not a public handicapper who needs to beat a dead line. Don't you think they would love to change most of their picks the next day? Believe me, they all do. This game has to many variables, and to not review all the changes as they come, your destine as a big time looser. This game changes by the race. Use the info to your advantage.

Also, no need to put up your wager amounts. I must say, they are sometimes very questionable. With you current wagers, and other gambling activities, you would need to make over 100,000K a year, with a small debt for other essentials. None of my business, but at your age, noway, unless being sponsored.

This is not to piss you off, I am a Dad of 2 sons, been there done that.

PG1985,

I, personally, don't have any issue with you posting your picks and what you bet. I usually don't pay that close attention to them though just because of the reputation you've made for yourself on the board by being overly bold and controversial. It's really not a matter of you posting your picks, taking your losses, etc. It's difficult for any of us to decipher what you're actually doing, so it's basically us taking you at your word. But, ultimately, other than AT32, I don't think very many take you at your word because of the reputation you've given yourself by being so aggressive and "know-it-all-like." Also, you've made statements in the past that just did not add up, so you've given everyone reason to be suspicious of what you say, including your bets. I don't believe you make the bets you say you do, but that's just me. I don't know anything about you other than what you've posted to this board just as you don't know anything about any of us other than what we've posted. Based on what I know about myself and my own financial situation (which isn't OUTSTANDING, but at the same time isn't all that bleak), I couldn't imagine throwing around "horse" money the way you do. We've all lived and know how tough it can be to make ends meet, much less to continually keep losing hundreds, even thousands, down the drain in such short periods of time as you claim to do, whether it be on horses, equities, derivatives...you name it.

Random thoughts:
1. It doesn't matter what nearly all people say or think about you in person much less on a message board.
2. If you're in your 20's and have no dependents, you do not need life insurance.
3. If you're getting crushed, stop. If you're in your 20's, even if you're not getting crushed, cut your action in half, save $10 or $20k and buy a piece of property.
4. I'm still wondering how or if I can win without the rebates I was getting from Pinnacle.
5. If you're betting the kind of $$ you mention at your age, it's perhaps not a good thing... no matter what your financial situation is.
6. I am still lamenting my corner gas station discontinuing sales of the Daily Racing Form.
7. In the end, there is only so much cheese and everyone is, indeed, a rat. Make your best friends outside of work.

Seriously, I'm flabbergasted by the amount of money some of the younger people say they wager. An average 25 yo is probably in his/her first or second job and making $35 or $40k. If you're doing better than that, that's good but still gambling at a high or relatively high level without having accumulated some assets is not a good thing. For every 22 year old you see winning big on TV poker, there are probably another 1,000 somehow lying their way into their next $50 sit-n-go.

Thank you Arnold Rothstein.

I'll come back to you in October and ask who you like in the Series.

Well yours is the man in the gray suit.

I thought a nice pretty lady would take the edge off this thread.

And that's as far as I go when one insists upon Mother smearing.

I told you before PG you will not impress ANYONE here with amounts lost or won. Posting picks whether good or bad is fine. Just stay with picks. The amount you bet is about as important as what you're having for lunch.

To me posting extravagant amounts no matter whether true or not is like leaving the window sticker in a new Cadilac so everyone knows what you paid for it. The only people impressed will be those riding bicycles.
