Why does everyone hate on anything less than 5/2? Statistically, there is a "longshot bias" meaning that in general, the shorter the price, the higher the ROI. Horses at 20-1 or more return less than 70 cents on the dollar. I'm not advocating playing every odds-on favorite, but by restricting play on those, you are playing into a larger deficit.
