You know he's going to be fighter on the court being around
13 brothers and sisters in his family

DJ Augustin from Texas has improved immeasurably. I cannot believe how good this kid has become. I think he could be drafted along with Durant, but I think most likely teams will want to see another year. I think he has got to be one of the top 3 PGs in the nation.

Ima tellin you guys to watch this kid. He does not give up his dribble a la Nash. His head is always up and he scoots thru huge crowds with ease.

I wish the Spurs had this kid right now. Perfect point guard type, my type anyway. Bullish and low to the ground... see the entire floor, basically use both hands equally well (again a la Nash) and not so incredibly athletic that they rely only on their athleticism and dont use their smarts (Tony Parker would be my example... and this might be the reason a guy like Dwayne Wade may not be a long time guard like Stockton). After the athleticism diminishes, what do you have left?

DJ AUGUSTIN

Augustine is having a great year. Needs another year in school to get his head right. He's young and is prone to freshman mistakes. Another pg i enjoy watching is conley from Ohio state. Watched him and oden play their college ball right down the road from me. When ohio state recruited oden they took conley as a sweetner. That turned out to be a pretty good recruit. He needs to develope more of a jump shot, but he's awfully quick to the rim. Reynolds may be the most rounded freshman pg though. He just didn't get much press this year.

I call it a wash but Villanova won the game against a blossoming Texas team.

Paul, you have to remember though that texas is a loaded team. Reynolds was expected to carry much more of the load then augustine was. Durant is such a bailout for a pg, because he can play high or low. As of right now i'd take reynolds, but you could make a case for either one. Rey

Augustin does have Durant.

But Texas starts 4 freshman and 1 sophmore... Zero starters back from last year. This in part explains how horrible Texas was in the first half of the year imo, and why they are much better now. They still go out because they have zero interior D.

And I had heard that Oden story. Very interesting.

Ummm

actually, Conley initially committed to OSU

and he brought Oden along as a package

Mike Conley Sr. (apparently to be Oden's agent), and, I believe, coach of their AAU team, didn't care for Mike Davis (can you blame him?) at IU and passed it along to his son who passed it along to Oden.

Anyone else but Davis at IU and Oden stays home.

It was very well done though. I will show my daughter as she hates Duke and does not know why. This will give her comfort knowing no one knows.
She is not alone.

Yes conley committed but he was not a stud in high school, why would ohio state go after him, ah yes, because oden was his best friend. Conley crapped himself when ohio state offered him a scholorship and accepted it right away, guess how many other big time programs were looking at him..... Oden had always said he wanted conley to be with him when he went to college. Now, I'm not a basketball coach but if i have a top recruit that said he'd love to play with a high school teamate, i would go out of my way to sign him as early as possible. Ohio state recruited conley to get to oden. Not the other way around.

haha yeah that is crazy, Tory is the second youngest of 14 children, and has niner older brothers. I have one older brother that has made me tougher, so what do you think 9 would do to you? He will be a stud PG in the Big East in the years to come along with that freshman PG on Villanova by the name of Reynolds I think.
