Sure, there are good folks everywhere....it's just the Klan is a bit personal for me, I saw far too much of them in the 60's. Also, my dad was raised by an uncle who was a Klan member...my dad was forced to deliver papers after school and then come home to a cold supper and sleep with his brother in a barn...he quit school after the 8th grade...meanwhile this guy never worked a day in his life but had money (to care for dad and his brother) and spent his days drinking and burning crosses...sorry but the Klan to me is manifestation of pure evil.

![]() Ah, my homeland... how you remind me sometimes of why I left.
![]() Sorry you're dealing with them, Somer. There's a reasonably large population of Wiccans in south central PA, if that's any consolation. Probably more than there are KKK'ers.

![]() Somer,
Never new the KKK was that bad there in C-Burg, Always thought it was a nice quaint town with little problems when I was passing through on my way to visit friends in McConnellsburg which I do a couple times each year. Here in the Lehigh Valley with gangs from NYC trying build a foundation here and also we have Neo-Nazi who are causing problems trying to spread hatred |

I was born and raised in Waynesboro, my dad lived in Detroit until his parents both died when he was very young and he was shipped to his uncle in Chambersburg with his older brother. The Klan has alway had a foothold in Franklin, Adams and Fulton counties, also in Washington and Frederick counties in Maryland along with the western areas of Md (Cumberland area). My dad was always "faithful" to his family but he hated the Klan, I recall in junior high I was looked down upon cause I hung with two black friends, high school wasn't as bad but then we only had two black kids in my class (65) among over 400 students. When I joined the movement and spent all my free time "down south", I ran into lots of Klan...never very friendly! I was lucky...called lots of names, kicked and punched a few times and wore condiments and hot coffee but nothing worse...still, they left an impression that has lasted a lifetime!
