Pincay , Eddie D. and Cordero , those guys would make monkeys of most the "good" riders right now.

by far and away, and i mean this as sincerely as is possible for a post on a message board, the best ride i ever saw was the ride the jock gave the first time starter named MOBO to a second place finish in the third race saturday at Santa anita.

he was trained by oneill, and if it werent for the fact that there was another oneill fts in the race, he for surely would have won with that remarkable ride!

of course, the charts wont tell you the whole story, so it's best to have seen it, or go to calracing to watch it.

He definitely has the gift.
Rode Pval in a grade 1 stake, got left. My luck....

Well, your horse(once he broke poorly) could have gotten in more trouble,or been quickly rushed up to the front.Pat got him forwardly placed as soon as he could(without rushing him,and emptying him.) He got him to draw away nicely from some nice horses. Greg's Gold was just too good that day(108.04.) With a slow start,Pat and your horse got a what? 108.20,or 108.25 ?? Here is what I know.If Pat had ridden your horse in the Forego,Mass Media wouldn't have gotten by.Greg's Gold was probably too tough that day at Del Mar,but Pat would have found enough late to get that Forego. If you keep using him, you will get that Grade 1. Hey,this is the guy that use to drive Pincay nuts(he admits Pat would beat him on lesser horses.) The 2nd or 3rd best horse may be all you need.

I watch that day's races with three other friends, and in a host of races, each guy selects a horse to form a $1 triple box. I really liked Level Playingfield in the race -- loaded with speed, he was one of the closers -- but didn't recommend him because he was 50-1. As you might remember, you closes stoutly to finish behind you (20-1?) and Biancone's Pomeroy finishes 3rd to form a HUGE triple. (We used Battle Won; a friend keyed him with vigor!)
Yes I do. The owner of Battle Won had an $80 triple. Made way more gambling than on the purse check. Level Playingfield always ran well at CD.

And Mobo's rider met the dirt about 3 jumps out of the gate, while Mobo ran on without him, gaining second, no less. O'Neill's other entry, Try To Fly, by Trippi, got to the wire 5 ahead of him, earning a Beyer, I believe, of 98.

Yes but Ruffian would be his most famous mount. Rode Onion when he beat Secretariat at Saratoga. Had this little issue in that he occasionally would set up betting coups
