I hate to admit it, too, but I also agree. I think some of the city could be saved, if the gov't would spend the money to restore the wetlands around the area (wetlands act as giant sponges, soaking up excess water in flood time and holding it in drought), but I don't see how it can be as big as it once was.

I'm going to write to my Senators and demand that earmark for DT bettors, STS. Hey, we're as good a cause as a bridge to nowhere, aren't we? Maybe I can get us a beer subsidy, too...
