I was very interested in seeing if it seemed like polytrack runners would fare better in the Breeders' Cup. Their performances as a whole were good, I think probably right around what you'd expect. Now you have the question to answer, if you are a trainer, about whether you want your horse to prep on the poly or not.

This move is questionable because over the last few years nothing goes into the Lane's End and nothing comes out. It is in a bad place on the calendar because if you still need one more prep then the Derby will be race #3 in six weeks.

How many of the derby contenders use the hollywood surface to train on while prepping for the dirt preps at SA? The one thing you keep hearing about the cushion ,is how kind it is to the horses.

I really believe that they are trying to save face here..They didnt complain when he had a few nice works over the Oaklawn surface..He lost because he wasnt used to racing other horses with early speed, and obviously didnt like the dirt being kicked up in his mug...As a big fan of this colt, I hope to see him as a miler, not a classic distance horse...there he would be able to use his tactical speed out of the gate.

The story goes, Pino was told to rate the horse, however, he got off a step slow, and Pino just did what the boss told him to do. I don't buy the story, He didn't like the track, he work great on it. So, I toos the race as aclunker, and maybe someone learned, the horse has speed, use it to your advantage.
