besides, that was as close as close gets between SD and Stormello, so having the place bet allowed me to sit easy, eventhough I knew Scat Daddy got his nose infront!

Good call Irish. When I looked at the DRF last night, I tried to find a way to put Scat ahead of Nobiz, but I couldn't do it. I hope we got a nice rivalry brewing today. Going into today, I was ready to write off the whole Florida circuit of Derby contendors and crown Nobiz the Derby favorite. That's why the Derby isn't run in March lol. Good call.

No way that race breaks a 100 Beyer....The horse ffrom today is King of the Roxy. That boy is the goods. If he stretches he could be dangerous.

Got exactly what you needed ND. It helped being so hot there also. Stormello is a tough horse and he gave the pace necessary. Those of you giving up on Nobiz are crazy. He is a very large horse and it was very hot. It wont be like this if he can make it to the Derby.

Look what happened to Corinthian. They were hosing him down before he got to the winners circle. He got things entirely his way and almost passed out. It was not a great day at two turns for the big dumb fellas. |

Well,I am sure that if you watch this race today, you will see Prado do various things to fck with this horse's head.Right? Who did Prado cut off into the 1st turn? When they come into the stretch, doesn't Prado go just wide enough that he causes the horse to have to change his line? With many horses, this stuff done by other jocks wouldn't cost them that much, but this horse just seems to constantly be going at a lot different speeds than other horses. When he lugs in a little,he has to be momentarily taken up(because he runs right up on another horse's heels .)His stride is just bigger, and is not going their speed. So,if he lugs in a bit, then he has to be stopped from clipping them.Believe me,Prado did what he could to take advantage of this. You can see by just looking at the head-on that he is much more talented, but he is a lot more awkward than them. |
