I'm saying he wasn't that super in South America, not like Invasor was; I'm not even sure if he was even a stakes winner at listed level - maybe he was, can't get the Dubai PPs to come up. And this crop of Argentine 3yos may not be the best they've had, because a colt from Brazil (where dirt runners are second-class citizens) won their Derby, the first time a foreign-trained horse has done that in over 120 years of racing.

I may be wrong here, but wasnt that 2nd place finish as a 2yo his last start in Argentina. He didnt have a chance to compete in the classics down there!

But he's part of the same generation. But since Eu Tambem, the Brazilian winner of the Argentine Derby, was pretty impressive winning the G2 feature later on the card against older horses, it may be the current Argie 3yos are a decent bunch after all.
