success in the nfl today, is more about the "system", the team that drafts you runs. if you fit the system you, do well.

great example of this was jeff garcia. good qb with the 49ers (west coast offense), floats around abit and looks like his career is over. lands with the eagles and has a great year. andy reid learned the west coast offense with? the 49ers.

and if you don't believe that, ask LaVaar Arrington....imo one of the top 3 most dangerous defensive players (not considering the injury bug) and was basically demoted to 2nd string because he didn't fit into the system in Washington.....one of the reasons why the skins didn't come back this year as good as they were in '05....with a guy like Arrington, you fit the system around him....

Im still waiting for Quinn to actually win a game that has meaning. The guy is yet to show up in any big games. He's overrated, just as Notre Dame has been the past few years-they were demolished in their last two BCS games by Ohio St and LSU.

i dislike nd and i'm no BQ fan but it takes more than BQ to win those games. he just didn't have enough help. until nd get some defensive and OL help and they will NOT win big games. out scoring people doesn't beat good teams.

nd's recruits this year did not address either of the problems.

like every ND hater this year ,when the team is losing, you find the biggest name on the team (which is obviously Brady Quinn), and you throw all the blame on them. Brady Quinn did all he could the entire year, he just didn't have all the right pieces around him. The guy is tough and will be a hella good QB in the NFL!

what about those horrendous passes that he repeatedly threw vs LSU that were uncatchable b/c they were nowhere near his receivers? he sure had no problem hitting up the michigan DBs in south bend. I understand they didnt have the best talent, but they guy isnt going to have huge windows to throw to and there'll be plenty of pressure in the nfl for him. I dont root for ND, but I do want them to be good for college football. Im not totally blaming Quinn, their defense was slow and they had bad receivers. Great players find a way to overcome those problems. Just as you claim that Im quick to hate on Quinn all the "Rudys" are just as quick to annoint him the next great QB. I just don't believe all the hype around him; he won't be facing defenses like Army and Navy in the NFL

I just remember at the beginning of the season when ND played GT in their first game, a number of people had a little birdie telling them how great Weiss was going to make this team, especially offensively.

I was roundly critized before the GT game because I said GT had a good team and that was being completely overlooked. And I stated GT defense was good no matter what Weiss had. Well that game turned out to be ND's best win, and they barely won. ND fans just completely discount the team that they are playing it seems to me.

Yes your team can be good, but if they play another good team, it does not automatically mean you roll them because, after all, you are ND...

He is overated just like his coach. They both have something in common though, They blow the big one.

By the way IrishofNDman the last time I went to school wasn't 8 two times more that 4? That's not something I would be bragging about.

Goes Lions

Gimme Some Suger LSU style

If I remember wasn't mistaking wasn't that Quinn's and Weiss' worst nightmare earlier this year.

My two favorite college teams Penn State and whoever is kicking another overated and overhyped Notre Dame team in the @ss.

what are you talking about?? I said a linemen repped 225 lbs 28 times and Quinn did it 24 times. That's not something to be proud of??? You make no sense!

Are you talking about the Boston College disaster
that played for Eagles. The only headlines he got
were arrested for couple of different things including
indecent exposure.

Yeah he was workout freak and high on everyones list after the test were given only to be a huge bust in the NFL itself. I say let your doctors look at them and give them a small interview and that's it. Watch film on them and look at their past games. Remember the Wonderlic test score of Vince Young? Who's laugh now?

I still cant believe that the Texans drafted Mario Who? over Bush, Young, Leinart, etc. Worst move EVER!

The Texans deserve to have losing seasons for the next 15 years with that choice.
