![]() Not just Deep Impact but Hurricane Run is entered on Sunday in the GP de Saint Cloud. Shirocco will not be going so it should be another weak field for HR to destroy in France.

![]() Isn't Shamdala pretty good?
Saint Cloud is a beautiful place. I love how the horses pull up around the tree past the finish line. |

Missy I think Pride is a decent horse and she deserves a G1 win. But it shouldnt be winning on Sunday. The world champ should win this easily. She's probably rated just below Alexander Goldrun who was second to HR last time so it would be a shock if shed win. Policy Maker is another decent horse but not a top class one. If Shirocco raced, it'd be some contest, but alas, not to be!!

Pride..... do you remember the Prix Foy Grey d'Albia Barriee (sp?)? She was lovely winning that one, beating Shirocco and Alkaased. Second in the Champion Stakes behind David Junior and finishing ahead of Rakti (my favorite horse of all time ![]() I'll never understand why she's so underated..... Anyway, hope they all come home safe and that she gets some respect if she should win it. (Can you be nice and not call me Missy? it makes me sound old which I certainly am NOT). ![]() |

![]() So it comes down to HR and his rabbit (Petrograd), Policy Maker and his rabbit (Near Honor) Laverock, and the lovely Ms. Pride?
Pride, all the way. ![]() Last edited by my miss storm cat : 06-23-2006 at 02:53 PM. |

![]() Here.... from Racing Post
Hurricane Run suffers a dent to his Pride ALAIN DE ROYER-DUPRE’S Pride found a fantastic turn of foot to edge out Hurricane Run in a thrilling renewal of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud this afternoon. Christophe Lemaire was content to sit behind the early leaders before asking his mount for maximum effort soon after the field had entered the straight. Hurricane Run had struck the front with a quarter mile left to run, and despite sticking on gamely under pressure, he had no answer to the winner's finishing burst. Kieren Fallon had not looked entirely happy on last season's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner for much of the contest, niggling Hurricane Run along with a half mile left to go. On entering the straight, he kicked for home and looked to have established a winning lead, but Lemaire conjured a power-packed finish from Pride, who got up in the shadows of the post. Last month'sPrix d'Ispahan hero Laverock took third place in the mile and a half showpiece. Last edited by my miss storm cat : 06-25-2006 at 10:17 AM. |
