I was at the S. Beloit OTB and guess what? I meet a couple for the first time armed with printouts from both Hooves and Byk. Of course the one using 'Byk's pic' Jambalaya pulled it out and is headed to ARL for the tourney. And yes they kept the streak alive and were great people. Incidently they beat Grandpa44 who is a new DT member and a good friend. 'Byk's piks' are becoming legendary.

I got SQUAT. I tied for the win and lost on the tiebreaker...(two others tied)

So in essence, my two second place horses, which lost but a COMBINED length total of ONE HEAD cost me this placing....BLAH..

I was very Lucky in the Showdown at Belmont Fall meet 2003. It was down to me and another guy going into the 32nd day. The rule was, if you don't hit the board your out. The other guy picked a horse in the 2nd race, and finished 4th, so I won automatically. My horse was in the 8th, and also ran 4th, but I won by the rules
26K was a gift that day

You won, because you had more wins? I never liked that part of the contest(most winners etc.)JUST A WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO BET WIN TYPES.We have all seen people with 10 wins in a row("leading"
the contest) pick horses that run right off the board.I have never understood why winners should be important in a contest that requires you to pick horses to show.

No, not because I had more wins, because he was out first, and I was the only one left standing.

Steve,
If you know South Beloit, it is far from being Urban.
