Plenty of critters here, but thankfully, not rats.
The story about the KFC/Taco Bell in the west village is worldwide.

I live on the NJ side of the Delaware Water Gap. The critters I see are deer, foxes, chipmonks, and other cuties. I left civilization twenty-two years ago; it was so that my husband and I could live in peace with a menagerie. My husband trains dogs and we both are involved in dog breeding. No one bothers us here. Our old Appaloosa, spent most of his life in this placid environment. I think that is why he lived to be 29! You and I are neighbors, both living near the beautiful Delaware.

Up here we have similar critters. The Delaware (west branch) is about 200 feet from my house. You could jump across it. It's loaded with trout, both browns and brookies.
The Susquehanna starts about a half mile from here, just over the ridge.
And another tributary, about a mile away, flows to the Hudson.
Living at the beginnings of three river systems is very nice.
Seems that everything else is "downstream".
This summer, I might pack my camping gear in my canoe and go from the top of the Delaware all the way to Delaware Bay. Might be a journey to remember.

Check out New Hope, PA(Bucks County)and Lambertville, NJ(Hunterdon County); they are neighbors across from each other on the banks of the Delaware.
