I wonder if that's because of drafting. (That would make sense)

Then again, not completely, as you seem to favor horses that get blocked while sucking up inside. (Witness your comments on the Miss Shop race, for example.)

Don't want to speak to him but I don't think that's what he meant...In a turf race the figs often correlate to how the race is run, not necessarily a true idea of how fast a horse can run. The final quarters are so pivotal in a turf race, it almost pays to chart those and get a view of how the race will be run than going by a high Beyer.
