Default Everyone's favorite butcher

Is back in the game!

D. Ranged Lukas unleashed a pretty good looking 3yo colt at Oaklawn Park yesterday. The Cal Bred Flying First Class, off over five months, and having four consecutive bullets on his worktab, dismantled a MSW field and ran 6 furlongs in a VERY STRONG 1:09.92. Fairly decent looking 1st time starters, who all took money, for trainers Tim Ritchey, Steve Hobby, and John Servis ran 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

By comparison, an alw race for open 3yo colts later on in the card, won by 2/1 shot Front Court, was run in 1:11.73. Exactly 1.81 seconds slower and 25 Beyer points less.

A statebred MCL race for older males on the same card, went in a painfully slow 1:14.82

Look for the Lukas trained Flying First Class to possibly get a Beyer speed figure in the 105-to-108 range.

As always, I wish Flying First Class the best of luck---while a normal trainer might take a more cautious approach with such a prospect....we all know that this poor horsey is going to dance as many dances as possible.
