I am in Fl, have been there 10 times this year. For the record, I don't like the place, but its my winter racing so I bite my lip and go. I'd prolly like Tampa Bay more as a more comfortable fan/player friendly place. Gulfstream is like a vegas club atmosphere with restaurants. They say racing is #1 but their planning of the facility belies that statement. That said, here is the dope.

If you go weekdays, the outdoor reserved seating is $3, and plenty of seats available, sat its $10/ sun. $7, and saturday is by far their busy day. There is a ticket booth on the left side of the building on the ground floor, (DON'T buy seats online as they tac on a $15 fee. ) Seats donot have enough leg room so you have to get up alot to let people pass. Row A,front row, has more leg room though. 10 Palms restaurant on 2nd floor has buffet for $30 weekends, a little less weekdays. Simulcasting , (after live racing ) is only available on ground floor clubhouse, north side.

Any other questions, pm me. good luck

Thanks for the information. Right now we're thinking of going 24th or 31st for the Fla Derby.
