ha,ha, there was a horse named Wholly Smackles?
I'd say Zito put in the top performance trainer-wise on the Triple Crown nominations without having the Big Horse of the year.

A few of these raced recently:
Saint Anddan
Noble C
Angliana
Tice

I guess if anything it shows the casualties of the Triple Crown Trail and/or how little a decent win late in the 2nd year or early in the 3rd really means.

I'm just going back and looking at the title of this thread, and I had to laugh. The most overrated horse in the HISTORY of horse racing?

that's what i said in the other thread, most in the history? that's a lot of horses to compare him to-and many got far more hype then he-who imo hasn't got any!
