Point, not sure if you were at simulcast on Saturday, but a guy there was touting Torini as Ward's Derby horse. He ran in the last race at Gulf on Saturday, the race where I needed Silver Express and Hals My Hope beat me a bob at ridiculous odds.

As far as a horseman, why cant he ever get his horses to the races and why do his talented horses fail to ever have long useful careers with very few exceptions? |

What about someone like Ronny Werner? It seems like I only hear his name being associated with 2 year olds. Am I wrong? If not, what happens to them down the road? |

Strong Contender, a four-year-old Maria’s Mon colt out of the Dynaformer mare Kopenhagen, suffered what turned out to be an unspecified career-ending injury while finishing fifth in the Hal’s Hope Handicap (G3) at Gulfstream on January 6, according to a press release from trainer John Ward.
ok, this horse suffered an injury, which went undetected til hours before his next scheduled start? why am i skeptical-and am i wrong for being so?
