It seems obvious to me that they were rushing this horse, trying to catch lightening in a bottle.

I was curious about the ride myself but you know what? Since he was wide and in the clear the whole race there are no excuses and you really know what you've got. If he would have closed well and let's say finished with six lengths of the winner despite the wide trip you could have made the case that he made a big step forward and that the trip was the reason for the defeat.

They need to back off and give the horse more time in my opinion. I hate to see when horses get the "Derby push" when they clearly aren't ready or are not talented enough.
