Daytime Promise, who has no speed, made a quasi-menacing move from last into the stretch, but had no finish. I guess the lesson to be learned is to win the gifts they give you.

Oh, and to be highly suspicious of what went on during the running of the race. The stewards would be remiss to not at least ask Mr. Fragoso what was going through his mind early in that race.

Do you think Mr. Luzzi should also have been closer to that pedistrian pace? Love Locket has done her best running near the pace.

Obviously I do, and should she come back and run even a respectable race I would really wonder what was going on, but the way she ran I would have to think her career is over. And, I say that having bet her.

However, considering the shenanigans in that race, nothing would surprise me.
