A little on color:

Different color horses that have won the Derby.
Bay - 47
Chestnut - 43
Dark Bay/Brown - 8 Gray - 5
Black - 4
Roan - 2
Gray/Roan - 2
Winning Colors (1988) is the only roan to win the Derby.
