SHe's not in the class of Sweet Catomine, IMO. Not even close.

well, that's good then. sweet cat didn't do much of anything after her win in the bc.

Um, yeah. I don't know quite how to respond to this. She won a G3 and then the Santa Anita Oaks (GI) as a sophomore, then tried the boys under what could only be described as dubious circumstances.

that was weird, wasn't it? and then whisked off to kentucky. it was a really bizarre episode.

not every day a horse gets vanned out of, and then back into, the track in the middle of the night.

quite frankly, i forgot she won the oaks. but she wasn't memorable to me-i was never that high on her for some reason.

She was supposedly in heat during the running of the SA Derby. I have no idea how that sort of physiological change would effect a runner, but I can't imagine it would be good. She deserved a better fate.

that struck me as odd as well-they usually give fillies something to keep them from going in season while in training. unless of course they had decided to breed, race her for a few months, and then retire her. just very strange all the way 'round....

They probably wanted the vet to palpate her ovaries to make sure she was ready to be bred.
