I'm sure Gin Talking and Vodka Talking would have something to say about this.
Seriously, there's a huge difference between drinking it like Tiznow and having it injected into the bloodstream. The trainer sounds like a ghoul. |

Maybe the vet is a Toby Keith fan and believes the song "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses" and couldn't find any beer?

Does the article say how much vodka was injected? Since a horse typically weighs 4 or 5 times more than a human, the dosages and effects would be much different.
"There's no truth to the rumor that Tiznow prefers his vodka in a Cosmopolitan." ![]() |

I've always told myself that if I ever owned a horse to win a Kentucky Derby, I was gonna give it a big old double duece of Bud to swig in celebration in the Winner's Circle.
Whatever my horse didn't down, I would. Seriously though, there have been photos of horses drinking spirits for decades. Even if the guy was injecting a shot of vodka into an animal outweighing a human by multiple times, I'm thinking more "homeopathic medicine" than anything meant to be devious. |
