for those of you with DRF subscriptions... Beyer wrote a good piece about Pinnicle, you should read it if you haven't already.

It was an excellent piece. Is this all our Congress has to do? I want to find out how my Congressman (Peter King) voted on this but I think I already know.

If you vote Republican after what they did here, sneaking that legislation into a billl in the middle of the night, you need to be shaken....I'll vote for Nader again. Both parties are awful. What a joke. People walk in and by 100 lottery tickets, but God forbid you bet on a football game.

The departure of Neteller is very bad news. However, it may not be the end of the world. Here's what SBR has to say:

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/default.aspx

"Neteller no longer processing gambling transactions from U.S. residents. The processor stated today that it will continue to allow current U.S. clients to use the service for non-gambling transactions including EFT withdrawals. Electronic check (ACH) processor, Citadel also announced that it will cease to service U.S. bettors. Sportsbooks have already reported an increase in other "E-wallet" services such as Click2Pay, InstaDebit and ATMonline this week. Sportsbooks such as Bodog, which use other electronic check providers, will likely benefit from Citadel’s announcement."

I suspect that one of those listed will rise to fill the void, much as Neteller took over when PayPal left the market. The bigger question is how hard US banks will strive to cooperate with this nonsense.

Randall: I agreee with you to the extent that Frist stuck it in...but he had plenty of help from the Dems. After all...I play online, and would have eventually gone to Pinnacle!
