What a shame for that to happen on Tampa Bay's biggest day of the year. It seems that ontrack patrons might have to return at a later date to get refunds for their live tickets. I still can't figure out how they have handled the multirace wagers on the late races. They also had a problem earlier in the day on what was to be the final day of an online contest they were conducting, a type of eliminator contest that still had about 80 or so survivors. I believe that the contest day was finally aborted and the contest was extended until today. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I had been eliminated a week ago so didn't have to deal with that particular angst.

It's a mystery for sure. You wouldn't think there would be two different systems. One for the horizontal bets and one for the vertical bets, DRF has the horizontal results up through race 11, but none for the WPS, Exacta, Tri, Super.

Don't think anyone in our group did all that well. Gulfstream was the feast and Tampa the famine for most of us.

Here's a link to an interesting article that has appeared in DRF concerning yesterday's tote outage at Tampa Bay and certain other tracks.

I think that we will hear more about this if the requested investigation occurs.

Wow maybe we all get a refund on our TB Derby bets, In that case I would get a whole $4. I'll try to bet it wisely.

Yes you will. It was run as a non-wagering race, and race 12 was cancelled in its entirety.

Maybe it's not so much of a mystery why they were able to come up with horizontal payoffs. Those payoffs don't seem to change that much, if at all, and are available long before the race is run in the will-pays whereas the WPS, Exacta, Tri, Super are constantly changing before a race is actually run. I could be wrong about that as I don't often bet the Daily Doubles, P3s,P4s,P5s, and P6s.

I had the trifecta for 50 cents but did not get paid - as you know. I bet the #9 to win, and a 5/9 exacta box and a 7/9 exacta box too. For all of it I got a full refund instead of the trifecta for 50 cents. Don't think I lost much on the deal. But if the #9 got up, I would crying like a baby!
