![]() IH, there's a name that brings back memories. As a recall from so many years ago (I'm pretty good at that, but often can't remember what happened yesterday), the real error was made by De Vincenzo's playing partner, who recorded a par on a hole where De Vincenzo had actually scored a birdie. Since De Vincenzo signed the card, the higher score was recorded and he was denied a tie for the Master's. The rules of golf can be very strange at times.
