Does anyone in here remember when that used to be a regular handicapping angle? You didn’t expect much from a horse returning off of a layoff. More was expected in their second race. We expected to get their best race in the third off the layoff.
Nowadays we expect them to run their best race off a three month break rather than "back" in one month
