Midway on the backstretch is what i meant to say. He was backing up approaching the turn. Take your complaint to HISA. They've got these guys having to keep track of crop strikes as opposed to just riding like they learned how.

Missed the point. Didn't even try riding out with his hands to get any sort of response. So, if he was basically easing the horse, why give a crop strike at the end? If he felt the horse had something to give that warranted a crop strike, why not ask for a response earlier going hands and heels? That's all I was saying...it was a strange tactic that unfortunately in this jurisdiction no one will get an answer for. Nothing to do with being under the minimum amount of crop strikes.
