Since our contest venue is located in Cook County, Illinois, am I correct in assuming that the eel pizza will be the traditional Chicago Deep Dish pizza even though the eels are imported from New York??

I'm also hoping that even though the Pizza Man Stakes is restricted to horses bred in the State of Illinois, no one will be so unkind as to refer to them as "ill bred".

Thanks for the JB on both accounts and yes we can make the deep dish Chicago style pizza work. I don't prefer it but hey we're off to Illinios. I'll call my friend Vini Spinnazola, part of "The Family", there and we can use their ovens . . .of course if they're not being used for anything else, pray tell..

Another Mystery, the ML favorite in the Pizza Man Stakes, had been cross entered in the Sycamore at Keeneland today. (Interestingly enough, Red Knight is running in the same KEE race even though he recently won a "win and you're in" qualifier for the BC Turf). However, Another Mystery has been scratched from the Keeneland race so it looks as if his connections are keeping him at Hawthorne for Saturday's race. It looks to me as if Team Block has entered Power Through to assure a fast pace, since AM is more of a deep closer who has run much longer distances and would benefit from the presence of a rabbit.
