There were only two turf races on today's card, but in my personal, untutored opinion that was exactly two too many. Before turf racing resumes at Churchill a lot of work is needed.

Yeah the amount of divots was quite alarming. They said they stopped turf racing because the grass was too "young" the roots hadn't really set in properly, yet.
I agree with Real Quiet, the Arlington Million, and I will include the Beverly D., is completely wrong at Churchill. What is CDI trying to accomplish here? Well, yeah, we shut down Arlington race course, but we'll try to make up for it by keeping these two races. No, CDI is not making up for anything. They were dead wrong shutting down that track and it's sickening to run these two races as if they are doing something good to keep historical races.
