![]() MONMOUTH PARK
POST-SCRATCHES 6th: OC/N1X, 3+, 1m-70y (P4, P3, DD) Best Value: #1 Affable Monarch 9-2 4th Next Best: #2 Awesome Aaron 7-2 WON ($8.20) Exotics Use: #4 Our Lucky Man 6-1 2nd Super Add: #7 Dreaming of Gerry 5-1 6th 7th: ALW/C, 3yo, 8.5f-T (P3, DD) Most Likely: #2 Agent Creed 6-1 2nd Next Best: #4 Basso 5-1 4th Best Value: #8 Larger Than Life 15-1 10th Exotics Use: #10 Dominate the Moment 7-2 WON ($8.20) 8th: Monmouth Cup (G3), 3+, 9f (P3, DD) Most Likely: #7 Highly Motivated 6-5 WON ($3.60) Best Value: #3 Informative 10-1 3rd Next Best: #6 Pipeline 3-2 2nd Exotics Use: #4 Rough Sea 6-1 5th Cross Country P5 Grid: MTH 8: 3-6-7 (A), - (B), - (C) WO 8: 1-7 (A), 11-14 (B), - (C) MTH 11: 1-8 (A), 4-10 (B), - (C) MTH 12: 7 (A), - (B), 2 (C) SAR 10: 1-2-5 (A), - (B), 4-7-8 (C) Simple (A+B): 3x4x4x1x3 = 144 x .50 = $72 All A's: 3x2x2x1x3 = 36 x .50 = $18 Backup: 3x2x2x1x3 = 36 x .50 = $18 (4-7-8 in SAR 10th) WO 8th: Connaught Cup (G3), 3+, 7f-T (P3, DD) Wildly competitive group including winners from last 2 runnings (Avie's Flatter, Silent Poet). Not a lot of obvious speed, but with a much larger field than they've had recently, you'd expect the pace to be honest at the least.. Most Likely: #7 Filo de Arianna 4-1 WON ($6.80) Best Value: #1 March to the Arch 10-1 2nd Next Best: #14 Shirl's Speight 3-1 5th Exotics Use: #11 Surly Furious 20-1 8th 9th: Matchmaker (G3), F&M-3+, 9f-T (P4, P3, DD) Best Value: #2 Lemista 5-1 WON ($11.20) Next Best: #4 Lady Rockstar 3-1 5th Exotics Use: #6 Fluffy Socks 5-2 2nd Super Add: #7 Vigilante's Way 7-2 3rd P4 Grid: 6: 1-2 (A), 4-7 (B), - (C) 7: 2-4 (A), 8-10 (B), - (C) 8: 3-6-7 (A), - (B), - (C) 9: 2-4 (A), - (B), 6-7 (C) Simple (A+B): 4x4x3x2 = 96 x .50 = $48 All A's: 2x2x3x2 = 24 x .50 = $12 Backup: 2x2x3x2 = 24 x .50 = $12 (6-7 in 9th) $0.50 Pick 4 (2/10/7/2) Paid $143.00 10th: Molly Pitcher (G3), F&M-3+, 8.5f (P5, P3, DD) Hasn't received the attention of the G1's, but this is a good group and the pace scenario provides some potential intrigue, as does the Lasix status of Search Results (1st), Pennybaker (1/1) and Army Wife (3/3).. Best Value: #2 Pennybaker 5-1 6th Next Best: #3 Search Results 3-2 WON ($3.20) Exotics Use: #1 Leader of the Band 6-1 2nd Super Add: #5 Beth's Dream 6-1 7th 11th: United Nations (G1), 3+, 11f-T (P4, P3, DD) Trio from the Manhattan are the prime candidates, but Vickie Oliver visited MTH for the Cliffhanger with Kentucky Ghost and he's competitive, adds Geroux and is the right price player.. Best Value: #8 Kentucky Ghost 12-1 7th Next Best: #1 Adhamo 3-1 WON ($5.60) Exotics Use: #10 Gufo 3-1 5th Super Add: #4 Tribhuvan 5-2 4th 12th: Haskell (G1), 3yo, 9f (P3, DD) Jack Christopher looks to take next logical step in delayed progress on 3yo scene and there's no reason to think he can't or won't. Taiba jumped into that same picture, perhaps to his own detriment, with his maiden and SA Derby wins. Best chance for him today would come if someone else were take starch out of Jack Christopher while he rates along as he did in SA Derby. Cyberknife and White Abarrio are solid, but a tick or two behind the top pair.. Most Likely: #7 Jack Christopher 3-2 3rd Next Best: #2 Taiba 7-5 2nd Best Value: #1 Cyberknife 6-1 WON ($17.60) Exotics Use: #6 White Abarrio 5-1 7th P4 Grid: 9: 2-4 (A), - (B), 6-7 (C) 10: 1-2-3 (A), 4-5-7 (B), - (C) 11: 1-8 (A), 4-10 (B), - (C) 12: 7 (A), - (B), 2 (C) Simple (A+B): 2x6x4x1 = $48 ($24 for .50) All A's: 2x3x2 = $12 ($6 for .50) Backups: 2x3x2x1 = 12 x .50 = $6 (6-7 in 9th) + 2x3x2x1 = 12 x .50 = $6 (2 in 12th) SAR 10th: Caress (G3), F&M-4+, 5.5f-T (DD) This has potential to be a lot of fun, but note that this is another stakes spot where you have decisions to make about horses coming off Lasix, notably Bout Time (3-1), Robin Sparkles (15-1) and Souper Sensational (8-1).. Best Value: #5 Toby's Heart 8-1 8th Next Best: #1 Caravel 5-2 9th Exotics Use: #2 Miss J McKay 6-1 4th Super Add: #7 Lady Edith 12-1 3rd Good luck! Steve
