Not exactly wasted wagers because I think you get your $200 back which is way better than some of us, but it was a wasted opportunity to add to your bankroll and a big nothing burger for the day so I don't blame you for being disappointed. Just one of the myriad pitfalls of this game we play, but I guess that and trying to figure out how to avoid them for the somewhat rare success is what keeps us playing.

If Echo Zulu did in fact have some lameness in her front leg, it is so much better that she was scratched. It would have been awful to have had her start and then get pulled up halfway through the race, or something even worse. Thank goodness that Joel knew her well enough to sense that something was not right.
