I Personally Wholeheartedly Disagree with #4 declared “Winner”

To anybody who is not blind watching the race
They know who really won the race and it wasn’t #4

That is so unfair to all the connections of the true winner #1

Ruff, I think that you are going to find that Modern Games will be treated as the winner off the race. His connections got the trophy and the winner's share of the race. Only those who bet on him didn't get paid for the win -- they got a refund, or worse yet, if they were alive to #1 in multi leg bets, they were switched to the PTF and therefore had a losing ticket for their efforts. Talk about a bad beat.

but I really feel so badly for everybody who bet on him

Whoever made the decision that he should run for Purse only
I would like to take him out behind the loafing shed

And I’m not even a Violent person
but this Debacle has me really Fuming

Horseracing is based on gambling and looks very bad when it can't get something that basic right.

Not At All

Years ago I was a Member of a Private Turf Club
Every Saturday I would bet on five tracks all day long
but that was then and this is now

so I rarely bet real time money except on the Triple Crown
if there’s a horse I love who is better than 12 / 1 odds

I am Paying off a $10,000 VET Bill
After my Precious Pomeranian had Gall Bladder Surgery
She DIED 4 days After coming home
Leaving me with a broken heart and a gigantic Vet bill

So I don’t have money to spare to bet on horses
But that doesn’t diminish my love of picking winners
