Just finished watching today's first race.... much more of a European feel to the course; not just the same oval we are accustomed to seeing.
I would recommend that you watch a race or two today before handicapping Saturday's card - it may give you a better feel for what the races will be like - why certain fractions will be slightly slower because of the uphill run and the like. Also, the far outside was worn out from the last couple of days' racing, but the grass next to the rail was fresh. I think that the temporary rail will be either moved further inward or removed entirely for Saturday to provide a new fresh turf surface. Should be a fun, if difficult, track to play.
