What I really want to know is how do they get those little Christmas trees that live in front of the tote board at Great Lakes Downs to stay so tiny? You would think they would grow to be normal size Christmas trees. I wonder how they do it?

The heck with jockeys cheating... people are acting like this is an out of the ordinary occurence.

I've never been to great lakes downs nor have ever seen the tote board...but probably the tree you are thinking of is a dwarf alberta spruce...they stay small and grow slowly...and look like x-mas trees.

They appear in the infield, probably 4 or 5 of them. Its hilarious. They must not be any taller than 3 or 4 feet. What marvelous landscaping. In my opinion this is a much more interesting story than jockeys and trainers cheating. We all know that. But I dont expect more than one person to come on here and be able to identify the kind of tree. Good job.

I am sure they have to get the records from the place in Delaware where the "supicious" bets occured. To me this is also a non-story.
