Well, I'm sure I'm wrong, but Independence Hall is surely better than 17-1. I think I'll put a couple of dollars on him. That'll stop him for sure.

Nice payoff in the P6. 10K plus. I would have needed 6 deep to hit those last 2 and even then I'm not sure. You are right Joly. $100 not enough. Maybe we can try again on Breeder's Cup day. Turf races will likely be even harder though with all the Euros.

Very generous payday for those who were astute enough [or lucky enough] to have the last two legs. I can't blame our ROI budget for my failure to hit. I think that I would have been able to include Tripoli on a slightly broader ticket - happened to grade him a "C" and 4th or 5th on the depth chart. Astronaut in the finale is a different matter. Even if I had gone 5 or 6 deep in that race I don't think I would have included him. My hat is off for those who nailed it.

As for the BC pick 6, I know when I'm overmatched. Each of the BC races have too many contenders. For me to be comfortable with a BC pick 6 ticket, I'd probably need to go 6 or 7 deep in some of the races. Doing that can get very expensive very quickly.

Still, it was a fun exercise yesterday in between preparing for Henri.

It was pretty typical of my play in P6s. Usually get 3 or 4 right and miss a couple. I too might have had Tripoli, but thought I might have been making that race harder than it was by going deeper. Astronaut was tough to have for me too. As you said, it was an interesting exercise. Stay safe up there where you live.
