That would be a Jim Dandy choice. Even though I feel battered about the head and shoulders by the cards we have played so far, it is still the Summer Place to be.

Every Saratoga meet brings back a flood of memories about my vacations during the summer on 7th Lake, Inlet NY, just north of Old Forge, south central Adirondacks. Oh to be a kid again. Patty as well spent her long vacations at her grandmothers house on Trout lake north of Fort Drum, near Gouverneur, NY, western Adirondacks. After we were married we visited her awesome grandmother at Trout lake several times. Truly wonderful and waking up to homemade bread, picking wild huckleberries (small blueberries) and raspberries from her garden for pies later . . . what else can I say. Ahhhhhhhhhh . . .

I don't think that the number of entries in a race always tells the tale. In last Saturday's CCA Oaks there were only 4 but the race was incredibly exciting. Even though the Jim Dandy has only drawn 6, I'm looking forward to watching Essential Quality perform [although some point out that it is "only" a prep for the Travers].

My POINT re Jim Dandy = Apparently Misinterpreted / Misunderstood 😔

I was not referencing the QUALITY Of the Race

Rather,
i was expressing Disappointment and Confusion
Regarding why So FEW entered In a Prestigious Race
