Are JB and even Ruff laying down a little on us to lull us to sleep, pre-Breeders Cup, since neither have been overtly present lately, especially JB. Neither has won a contest in some time and that's scary.

Great writeup, Don Guido. I can assure you that there is no grand strategy to, as you put it, lull everyone to sleep. Simple fact is that I haven't been able to handicap my way out of a paper bag recently. I've had a long string of "if only's" and "coulda, woulda, shudas". In the points contest, I have found myself trying to fight the linemaker, and each time the linemaker has won.

My only hope is that all of these symptoms will have magically gone away [yeah, right] in time for the BC, when more serious money is on the line.

Cal828 continues his commanding lead and looks like he'll take home the Handicapping Year Honors for the Points Contest, while DonGuido has stepped up his game over the last three weeks and jumped over JB to take over the 2nd rung of the ladder. JolyB hits a nice Place tally in ROI and Ruffian holds on the 4 spot with a 2nd in Pts. Real Quiet nabs the show spot in Pts adding to his totals and Roamin42 takes on minor honors in Pts to hang tough in the 7th position.
