Jesus you aren't gonna see too many worse rides than that one, especially on a WINNER.

Landeros is embarassing.

I didn’t think the ride was bad. Got pushed out in that 11th hole but knew he had ton of horse, didn’t panic and put in a spot to win. That horse was much the best there.

Agreed. You’ve got two options from that post. Send or tuck in. He did neither.

I watch a ton of races and this is a reason Landeros has struggled at Gulfstream and last summer at Saratoga. You have to have a plan. The good riders do their homework and have a plan on what they are going to do. I get that sometimes plans change and you have to audible but in almost every race I watch Landeros ride, the race gets dictated to him. The good riders dictate terms to others.

Rewatched the race and there really was nothing he could do there out of gate. No way he could outrun everyone to lead and he was blocked to cut inside. He put the horse in best spot he could and was fortunate to be best by far.

That’s the point. He really did nothing. You don’t ever see the Ortiz brothers, Prat, Rosario hung out like that. Bailey never got hung out 10 wide into a turn.

They have a plan. Landeros is just out there as a passenger.

If you watched his previous race Landeros had him out 3 wide with no cover and made a big move around the turn into 1.09.2 pace and still hung on fairly well in the stretch . Thats why I thought he had a good chance to win here even from the 11 hole. If this horse ever gets a trip he may beat some serious horses.

I weigh 220lbs and could've gotten that 2 horse home in the finale at gulfstream sunday. Landeros cost me the pick 6 PERIOD guys horrible! Someone needs to tell his father in law he may start losing owners if he's going to keep throwing that clown landeros on these top flight horses. That #2 horse couldnt of been broken better, that clown landeros didn't see saez coming up the rail he was worried about the #10 he should (clown show landeros) know where the top jock at gulfstream is at all times! Needed the 2,4,10 sunday thought i was a easy winner till landeros let saez slip right on through.

A really good example of what I’m talking about is Landeros’ ride on Ry’s the Guy in the 9th today. He got beat to every spot he tried to take throughout the race because he’s so passive and lets everyone else dictate to him where they are going. The winner was able to come through on the rail because after Landeros deferred position for the 4th time in the opening 1/2 mile instead of securing the rail, Saez took it from him.

Then he gets in traffic because while everyone else was moving he was sitting there confused.

He’s really bad.

Having said all of that, he has a really good chance of winning the last. If he’s smart, he’d establish position early. The horse has enough early speed to be on the front end if he wants. But he shouldn’t be farther back than 3rd or 4th.
