Late pick 5, beginning with Race 10. The guaranteed minimum pool is $400,000.

Late pick 4, beginning with Race 11. The guaranteed minimum pool is $500,000.

It may be time to tee it high and let it fly.
JB, are you putting up real MONEY???

Definitely not on the Rainbow 6. At first blush, it looks much too tough for even a modest sized budget to hit. Except perhaps for Zulu Alpha, there don't appear to be any free squares, so you need adequate coverage in each race to have any realistic chance. To try to hit all 6 with decent coverage, the cost adds up in a hurry, even at $0.20 per bet. If you go 3x3x3x3x3x3 the cost is $145.80. Doing the same with 4 deep is $819.20. If you split the difference and go 3x4x3x4x3x4 you pay $345.60. And there is bound to be at least one race [or more] in this group of very full fields where it may be necessary to go even deeper than 4. That cost is too rich for my blood. I am going to put something down of paper to see what it would look like.

Unlike some pick 6's, there are no consos for 5 of 6. You need to nail all of them to cash.

I think that this sequence is one for either large bankrolls or groups of players to pool their funds, build a larger ticket and hope for a life changing payoff.

After a cursory study of the card, I'm pretty comfortable using Zulu Alpha as a single in the Pan American. That will let me put together a Rainbow 6 ticket that will fit within our ROI parameters.

Right now, I'm looking at a ticket that goes 3 x 3 x 3 x 1 x 4 x 4, with a total cost of $86.40. That leaves a little left over for a small "what if" backup ticket. Chances of hitting with this are pretty slim, but it should provide some rooting interest during the Fox Sports TV coverage tomorrow afternoon.
